Using a face mask is the 7th step of your Korean skincare routine. You should use one right after applying your essence and before your eye care products. The only exception to the rule, is the use of a night mask. Night masks are used overnight. There is no fixed rule on which time of the day you should use a face mask, but we recommend using it as part of your evening routine. We do so because face masks are a great way to relax and moisturise your skin at the end of a long day.
Face masks have a variety of effects on the skin, depending on which ingredients they contain. It is important to know what you intend to achieve with your face mask treatment. They have the ability to moisturise, nourish and purify your skin. There are face masks that help with blackheads, large pores and dryness. The possibilities are endless. Whatever you do, sit back, relax and enjoy your personal spa moment.
Which Face mask should I go for?
Which face mask you choose, depends on which texture you enjoy most and treatment you need.
Sheet masks: They are simple to use and have a wide range of treatment options. Check out the selection to see specific treatments. They are effortless to use as they come ready to apply straight out of the pack.
Peel off masks: They have a great reputation for dealing with blackheads, impurities and dead skin cells. They are applied in a cream or gel form and dry up to be peeled off your face after the treatment is complete.
Wash off masks: They have a thick occlusive layer that intensely nourishes and moisturises the skin. They are applied similarly to the peel off mask, but do not solidify at the end of the treatment. They are simply washed off with water.
Night masks: As the name states, these masks are used overnight. They are focused on moisturising the skin thoroughly as you sleep. Because the mask stays on for such a long period of time, the effects are phenomenal. They are the ultimate lazy face mask. Enjoy a good night sleep and wake up looking your best.
