A foam cleanser is the second step of your double-cleansing routine. The oil cleanser will have done most of the work removing makeup, sweat, dirt and SPF accumulated during the day. A foam cleanser will remove the last remnants of these things and in addition, remove excess oil from your oil cleanser. The lightweight texture is soft and gentle to the skin. It will moisturise and hydrate your face while keeping it fresh and clean without a greasy feeling.
Which foam cleanser should I use?
There are two different types of foam cleansers, cream-to-foam or liquid-to-foam. Which one you decide to use, is solely dependent on which texture you prefer. Both will turn into foam in a matter of seconds once in contact with water. They are suitable for all skin types and skin conditions. However, they are generally recommended for oily and acne prone skin types as they are meant to deep-clean any excess oil and sebum from the skin. They will remove any remaining debris from your pores leaving you feeling fresh and clean.
How should I use a foam cleanser?
Firstly, wash off your oil based cleanser. Secondly, without drying your face, directly apply a pea sized amount of your foam cleanser on your finger tips. Start massaging your face and neck with circular movements, this will improve your blood circulation. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Use a fresh and clean towel and pat yourself dry.
