Sheet masks originate from Asia and are used on a daily basis in most western countries. It is a face-shaped infused fabric that is applied directly on the face. The fabric is usually made of soft cotton or fiber. The sheet mask is soaked in a nutrient packed serum that will treat the skin condition it was designed to help.
Which sheet mask should I use?
The range and variety of sheet masks is endless, they are available for all skin types. You will find moisturising or nourishing sheet masks that perfectly suit dry, normal and aging skin. There are purifying and soothing masks that are the ones to go to if you are dealing with irritated skin or acne-prone skin. What we love about sheet masks is that they are individually packed so you get to try a new one every day!
How should I use a sheet mask?
Sheet masks should be used as step 7 of your Korean skincare routine, after the treatment and before applying your eye care and moisturisers. Unpack and unfold the fabric, align the holes to your eyes and mouth and carefully apply it on your face. Let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes on your face and discard the fabric. Pat the rest of the serum gently on your face for full absorption and let it air dry.
